AI moderated interviews are live conversations between a human participant and an AI system. These systems use either or a combination of voice and text, and participants provide video responses. The Story Behind this Work
These guides were developed out of a collaboration between myself, Amanda Peters, PhD, and Katy Gleason, Evolve X Research. In late 2025, we worked with Listenlabs AI to pilot a study with 2 goals: 1) Get hands-on experience in implementing AI systems for qualitative insights research, and 2) survey insights researchers about the future of our industry.
We are sharing a series of one-pagers exploring key themes and translating them into actionable tips for the entire research community. They include:
